Can't say I've had any of these problems with W11. For pictures I use the same procedure as I did for XP. So either plug camera into computer or plug card into computer, then select all photos on card (use windows explorer) and click on cut, then go to folder where I want to put photos and click paste. This moves the photos from the card to the desired folder.

I used to expand the folders down the lefthand side and then select all and just drag the pictures into the desired folder.

I cant seem to expand the folders down the left hand side for some reason.

In this instance it copied all the photos to the desired folder, as it took a minute or so saying it was copying, then when I deleted the pics from the SD card it deleted the copies in the folder as well.:dunno:
As I say, I've never had that happen before, once copied to a folder they usually stay there.

@pete don't delete the pictures from the SD card straight away. Do it on another day, like I do. That way the ones in the folder won't be affected.

I can't expand the photos down the side either but I can do it on the top. If you put the arrow on the word photos a menu will drop down with the folders on it and then you can choose which one you want. It takes a while to get used to it but when you do it's easy. Not as good as before, but you do get used to it.

Nine times out of ten i double check everything before doing the delete on the card, I've done it every month now for years and never had this happen, why it happened is a mystery to me.
I've been using this for nearly 9 months and although it seems a bit clunky I've not done this before.
Just seems an overly complicated set up to me.

I can't find One Drive on my computer so the techy help chap must have done it for me. I've only got the folders now.

@Victoria I've noticed a few times you have a love for orange roses which made me think. Do roses survive in your climate?

I only have one, Sunseeker as J doesn't like them, he say because of the thorns but he loves Bougainvilla with daggers on them!!!

Yes, they grow well here. They are planted at entrances to orchards where the pump houses are usually located so, if a disease is arriving, the roses catch it first and alert the farmer to take action.

There are massive rose farms in Egypt.
