    I thought in such places they would be flowering almost year round, barring probably places that have a definite dry season.

      That might explain it then. January is the start (supposedly) of the dry season in Guadeloupe. It rained on 11 of the 14 days that I was there :roflol: Only heavy showers, but even so.....I'm wondering who to sue :biggrin:

        Probably all flowered out then at this time of the year.
        Doesn't the Canaries have its dryer season in the summer months?

            Usually July and August. Anything from zero to not a lot. :)

            When I was working that way 60+ years ago I don't remember it ever raining in those months. Although nowadays I don't remember a lot :heehee:

                There are lots of photos for me to choose from as we went to the Botanical Gardens and a small orchid garden. Some of the botanical garden plants had names and I shall attempt to lift them from my amongst my photos if you ask for them. :blue thumb:

                          Most plants are global these days I tend to think, if you can grow it climate wise you can probably get it.
