    Looking at the rhs website it looks like the same damage :-(
    Any way of getting rid?

    By the time the buds open its too late ... I spray the tips of the plant (i.e. where buds are forming) with Provardo every couple of weeks (not sure when you can stop, perhaps by now as the Capsids will have finished hatching? but you'd need to check that - let me know when you find out please and I'll stop treating mine :heehee:)

      My buds look ok,just dot holes in the small leaves,,ive been chasing and squishing the critters for months from canna to canna :gaah:x

        Just in case confusion? the Capsid Bug only invades the buds on Brugs, not Cannas (as far as I know!)

              Interesting, I noticed some of mine are quietly blooming, the flowers are quite low down not like in the winter. I don't think it's normal behaviour for this time of year?

                        Its slug & snail damage on my cannas but that capsid bug sunbathes on them,ive never caught one on my brug..yet! I think they were guilty of chomping the gunnera early in the season as leaves were about to open :dunno: x

                          Its been sold to me a montbelardii,ive emailed them a similar pic but theyve said its not maurelli and ive not been mis sold..im not convinced :dunno: but im no expert x


                          Yes i bought it last yr,it grew huge so i split and made 2 plants this yr :):):) x
