    @Lolimac Don't know the variety for certain, but I'm pretty sure it's Paul's Scarlet. We 'inherited' it when we moved here 26 years ago and it's still going strong.

    It's a climbing rose trained on an 'arch' made of chestnut poles, which is just out of shot near the tree. Here's a picture of the whole thing, taken in June last year. :thumbsup:

            Went out and had a look, and neither Red Garnet nor Rich Ruby are Red !

            Penstemon "Schoenholzeri" is though ...
