Thanks so much @Bluejayway - I like flower arranging when all I have to do is “plonk”

Thank you. It's in a big tub and I drag it into the greenhouse every winter. It isn't a heated greenhouse but the plant still has its foliage and has been flowering since February, so I suppose it would retain its leaves outside too.
I have actually lost a few by planting them in the ground and I believe they require a sheltered spot outside.

I agree @Chicky , I love the casual look. If I attempt anything formal it just looks daft! :lolpt:

I've got one planted in the ground @OwdPotter and it pretty much keeps its leaves all year round, it's a lovely colour. My only problem has been the family of foxes breaking branches, otherwise very easy to look after.

Just deadheaded about a million daffs, or it seemed like that many anyway! Hopefully they’ll do well again next year.

One problem I find with most Epimediums is that the new foliage soon hides the flowers, especially if their stems are shortish. Looks like your 'Orangekonigin' has fairly long stems. Here is a pic of my Epimedium x versicolor ‘Sulphureum’ taken today, the flowers will soon disappear in the foliage...[IMG]

Yes it's important to pick taller or miniature varieties I find @Papi Jo one of the properties we almost bought had a small woodland attached to it...would have loved to add a few in there

                      What a lovely picture @Chicky

Reminds me on my favourite painters, a group of British contemporary painters like Anne Songhurst
