          I was surprised and delighted to see to see my very first bloom on Hibiscus syriacus Double, French Cabaret, this morning (which I got from Italy in November 2022) ... and there are lots of buds ..

                          @Golarne the Linaria is supposed to be, but it's the first year, so we'll see!
                          Thanks @strongylodon - after the losses I've had recently, I'm a bit cautious regarding hardiness of callistemon and grevillea.
                          @NigelJ - does the rehmannia self seed reliably? I had it for a couple of years but it faded away.

                          My excuse is that I find labels get brittle and snap, so I lose them. I started making up nice slate labels but I now have a set of slate ones where the plants died. You can't win...

                            Can’t find much that looks like I want it to at the minute but at least these foxgloves stood up to the heavy rain and wind last Wednesday and I like the water irises even though they have been blown over a little.
