Whats Looking good May 2024

A lot further ahead than here @Busy-Lizzie - but that's pretty normal.
My A. Yellow Queen is nowhere near the stage @Mrs Hillard 's is. The W. Guiness one is starting to open though - in all it's sites! I have lots of seedlings sown from various sources, so hopefully some of them will be good later on.

The trees round here are all early though. They all have foliage, and more than just a green haze, which is what would be the usual state for early to mid May.

What a beautiful day and so lovely to see the garden come to life!

My cistus, or rather two of them, must like where they’re planted as they’re doing really well.


A few Aliums are popping up as well, these must have self seeded in the miscanthus.


Erysimum Bowles Mauve has been going strong for months already.


Every year this Rhododendron is one of the first things to flower, it’s one of my absolute favourites, I think it’s called Dreamland?

Lost name - it has blotchy green and black leaves, gets everywhere if allowed, seed heads like a Dandelion, but very pretty flowers so it can stay
