        @CarolineL ,have you managed to grow that hibiscus outside all summer?
        I tried it one year and only the one I kept in the greenhouse flowered and it was very late.

          Some variety of Sarcococca, it had a bit of dieback because of the dry summer.

            @pete yes it lives in the garden. But it always worries me by starting late. I have another I also grew from seed that is even slower and never gets around to flowering. But the foliage is good, looks a bit like cannabis!
