Beautiful! Why don't my Hedychiums set seed?

 

Because you dont pollenate them, maybe.
I usually only do the densiflorum, for the berries, but last year did a cross with Tara, got some seedlings that might just flower next year.

 

I remember walking down that road from the corn field, I think you reserved that parking spot for me about half a mile away.

 

Show off To be fair, mine get chopped straight after flowering because by then they're usually swamping something else.....

Cosmos, they keep flowering even though i don't deadhead them regularly.

 

Acers are colouring up nicely

The seed grown dahlias are also doing well. Might try and keep the tubers from the dark pinky one

Sweet pea doing nicely - this is either C.C.C. or Mrs. Collier - the former I think though.

The little aster that the slugs annihilated in spring has been flowering for about a week. No idea which one it is, because it was a plant sent by mistake. Another bed which is being rearranged after removing the fennel.

Clem. Julka has done well after being lifted and potted due to the same problem as the aster. I'm hoping to get it replanted in spring. It's attached to the railings at the back door [hence the odd pic] to avoid being trashed by weather.

 

The garden goes over into Autumn mood, and there are signs of the next Spring coming.
