    Phyllostachys aureosulcata basking in sun. This bamboo makes a nice columnar feature if carefully maintained.

            Looking beautiful, @Plantminded. I do love the contrasts between the foliage, shapes, colours, heights and textures you have there. Wonderful vibrant Acer, even after the country seems to have had a lot of rain recently.

                          This variegated grass decided it had had enough last night and has started turning brown so Mrs Shiney cut it back this afternoon

                                We have a few large bushes of Sarcoccoca and they are showing the seeds gradually turning black whilst the new flowers are already coming through.
