    Thank you.:)
Aww that's a shame @Balc. It might have been the heatwave, mine slowed down a bit during it but soon perked up again.

I don't think it has anything to do with the heatwave- they never got dry & as they originate in Mexico,(?) I don't think it bothers them too much.

No, I think they are too crowded in the pot! There are a couple of plants in it I think, not sure after 3 years! I also have a 2nd pot of the same Dahlias, (they all came from a packet of seeds in the GW Mag.), but some bug has been chewing the leaves - I haven't been able to find the responsible bugs though. Then I had a 3rd set in an old strawberry planter, they didn't didn't do good either & I don't think I had any flowers at all from these last 2 pots. The first pot did produce, I think, 2 flowers! They will all go next year! Space is too valuable on the balcony to keep plants that don't flower & take up so much room!

Missed this yesterday and what a surprise. Having just said my Crinum had not bloomed yet after nearly nine years, Crinum asiaticum (Spider Lily) my Sister brought me from Florida is blooming!

I've just bought a bulb of this from an on-line nursery and the instructions said to plant in autumn, however it seems to flower in autumn so they should have sold it sooner or it should have said so in the information they sent with it.

It took years for that to flower with mine. They are all of the Amaryllis family Amaryllidaceae (as is in Crinum above) and the bulb need to be proud of the soil. Mine may bloom at a different time also.

Thank you @Victoria, I shall hope to see flowers next year. It is planted with the bulb proud of the compost.

The crab apple tree in the Communal garden is looking delightful and obviously hasn't suffered with near drought conditions this Summer

Some end of the month shots around the patio.

The Verbena bonariensis have had a very good year and are still going strong all around the garden. They seem to do much better in the gravel around the edges of the patio. We have been digging loads up and taking them to the charity garden centre.

                      More patio

The Cobaea are late in getting going properly

The Cyclamen bed down the garden is starting to do well and, as you can see, some of the coums are rather large as they have been there a long time.

and some have started to get up and walk!
                      P1550593.JPG

Some of the smaller ones that have been walking we give to friends when they visit. When they have finished flowering we shall spread lots of compost there.

Noisette, I believe your Datura is a Brugmansia. Daturas look up, Brugmansias down, hence Devils Trumpets and Angels Trumpets. It looks good.
