Due to the very hot sunshine and drought we have had here, despite daily watering and deadheading, our Cosmos are almost finished . Hopefully the heavy rain we had in the night will help some of the garden to recover.

These are in dappled shade at the bottom of my north-facing garden. They have grown very tall and bushy. The ones in a sunnier part of the garden grew much smaller and are nearly over now.

And mina lobata still going strong - not bad considering it was a pathetic little seedling, the only one to survive the slugs

There is one corner in the garden (by the greenhouse) where I really like to look towards the Deutzia and tree fern corner. Unfortunately, it's impossible to get the 3D view.
Speaking of tree fern (in a barrel pot), I noticed that roots have made their way into the soil, which is clay soil. I have no chance to get the tree fern out of that pot and decided to let it as it is. If it survives, I will be possibly in one or two years time able to remove the rotten wood and metal and surround it with something new.

Thank you @Victoria, the tree is about 30 years old (maybe even more) and I brought it here from a previous garden.

I think it's Cotoneaster cornubia but I've lost the label. However that is the nearest one I can find. I didn't put its name because I'm not entirely sure.
