Dracunculus Vulgaris - this one planted in greenhouse, I was not sure how reliably hardy they were.

Pete, there 'was' an A. Prav near here but it was cut down :( although it never flowered as profusely as yours. I have a seedling about 1ft high, so a long way to go! BTW 7 Bauhinia Y. are up and have 2 pairs of true leaves. [IMG]

We have that Acacia, pete ... all of them smell wonderful and they've been going for a month of more now here, just incredible.

So jealous of and love roders wild violet ... have tried them two/three times here but nada ...

Absolutely no luck with my Bauhinias either ...

I was quite pleased during the week to be able to gather together a few pots to put at my front door, making a colourful wee display in March.

I planted primroses in old coping stones and pots out the front too, they really are quite cheery (even though a nasty slug blighter found them first!)

I didn't grow it, it managed that all by itself, but it still looks good against a blue sky.

Lovely blues and violet, Pal, with the ladybird!

The gorse is beautiful, pete, it's everywhere here now ... well, in the areas it grows, not in my orchards obviously!

These little dainties start blooming at the end of February in sheltered sunny spots and will continue into April in fairly dark shade. They grow anywhere the bulbs can get a foothold and seem to love gravel paths. Normally about 4" to 6" tall they will also grow up through ground cover shrubs until they reach the light.

Best naturalised or grown in banks. They seed freely so can be invasive but they are so bright and cheery I forgive 'em for it :D
