What's Monty on about?

    I've just found out that Jasmine are more likely to flower if they are pot bound. I've just planted two Jasmine out in the garden :doh:

      My guess is they will be all the better for it, in the long run.

      My thoughts have always been, being potbound might force earlier flowering, but its not really sustainable with many plants.
      Especially ones that grow big naturally.

      It'll do far better in the ground. Here's a photo from five years ago of a Jasmine that we planted ten years beforehand.

      The steel hoops that I used to form the arch rotted away and it is now self-supporting.
