Insects dont worry me - but frogs and toads I hate :( I try so hard to get over my phobia but so far have made little progress. There has been a frog in my water feature for a while and I knew he was there, even though hubby tried to keep it from me! Saw him sunbathing on the edge back along, and managed to keep my hysteria down to running up the garden mumbling 'oh no, oh no!' I know they do so much good in the garden :(
Love those pics and wouldnt mind any of them crawling on me - what a strange lady I am [IMG] :D

If I come across a bright green small caterpilla type thing I just recoil in disgust [IMG] also having a frog jump by me freaks me out a bit.

Not so much in the garden but the shed ... rats. Boo brought one out yesterday, Cal a small one today ... small, I say, the base of this bowl is 20cm, it's obviously a baby here ...

I'd rather the snakes in there.

No, ydd, I sort of agree. I don't mind mice and voles which I rescue from the cats and put back in the orchards but rats ... they set up "home" in the shed, eat everything in there (seed etc) and make their home out of your chair cushions ... and it stinks to high heaven with their toiletry to be polite so you can just imagine with our heat ... LoL,

Lovely photo  pet rats yes, wild rats oooooooooh noooooo, know too much about 'em. Living by a farm and close to a river we often see 'em, down the river that is big furry fings [IMG]

Pet rats we often used to get down the surgery, especially to have their teeth clipped. Pet rats are quite affectionate.

Did you read the book "Rats" by James Herbert, i tell you what woman it would put you off for life

No, I haven't read it but I'd probably like that book, ag! [IMG]

ydd, we had to resort to rat poison sachets (that smell like chocolate actually) and wouldn't let the cats in the shed as the li'l un Cal loves chocolate. Our cats have never been able to catch rats or mice for love nor money except to play with them ... not kill or eat them!

I've seen rats here crossing the lane so big I didn't know what it was ... the body being 20cm or more ... then that tail ...

Boo, who is 12, is English and was a house cat as all of our cats have been ... allowed out when we came home from work but in otherwise.

Cal is Portuguese and just a year old and we found him in a carrier bag at the litter bin the day he was born (with his sister who is now sadly not with us) and he's a sandwich short of a picnic because of it and a darling and a half. [IMG]

I think it was the choc poison ... the one Boo caught yesterday was well on his way to "gone" and the one Cal got today was already "gone" ... we had opened the shed door.

Thankfully they don't eat such things as they prefer ham and cheese tidbits and such like so we weren't so concerned about them being poisoned by eating them.
