Because it changes so quickly. I've just taken this picture, just minutes after the downpour!

I was taught that slightly differently as a youngster......

Red sky at night, shepherd's delight.
Red sky in morning, sailor's take warning!

Pretty much the same as yesterday, a sunshine and cloud mix, still with the strong wind, 18C/64F.

The top temperature today was 68f in mid afternoon, with the usual cloud and the occasional sunshine. There was a very light shower around 10am but it stayed dry after that. The same thing that happened yesterday happened today i.e: the skies cleared almost completely with lovely blue skies at around 6pm and then by around 8pm the usual army of clouds trundled in from the West.:wallbanging: So right now the temperature is 56f and the pressure reading is 1028mbs.:coffee::snork:

I've officially declared a drought in Shineyland. So the sprinkler shall be moved away from the veggies (which get watered regularly) to go on patrol around the garden. Each bed will get two hours of watering, not as much as they really need as a lot of the plants are suffering badly. Even using the large sprinkler it will take at least three days so my water meter is going to get a lot of exercise.

Yesterday was the first cool day with temperatures not rising above 74F (23C) and, although the wind has now dropped, it's only 54F (12C) at the moment. According to the weather forecast for early next week it's going to reach the low 90's :rolleyespink: so I need to get my gardening done this week.

Even though the sun shone today the ever present wind of late made it feel quite chilly. There was also some pretty hefty clouds at times threatening rain that didn't materialise. Looking at the sky right now I don't think that rain's far off! 17C/63F and feeling much cooler than that.

Although it was a lower temperature yesterday it was quite hot in the sun. Nippy during the night but warming up now 61F and sunny.
