Kuga are good too @Sheal - the only thing that put me off one was the titchy wee radio screen buried away in the dash.

I've been in Manchester during the day on and off this week and it's was dry and fairly warm and there is one good thing that I like about Manchester and Birmingham...........the road out!!:heehee: So right now the skies are slightly cloudy here in Cheshire, the temperature is 50f and the pressure reading is 1027mbs.:coffee::snorky:

That's a pretty pussy cat @shiney, an unusual SUV! :)

The screen size makes no difference to me @fat controller, I struggle to see anything digital on a car dash anyway. Did you know digital screens are difficult to see through polarised sunglasses? My optician told me that and proved the point during an eye test. :)

Sunshine all day with hardly a cloud to be seen and still 16C/61F.

I did as it happens - confused our optician when we bought our new glasses a few weeks ago, as she tried to sell me polarised sunglasses, and I told her I wouldn't have them again as they were useless for driving with; they can also cause some odd effects with some windscreens (particularly rear screens) too. I went for the transitions lenses this time for my main specs, and got my spare pair with a light tint

By transition do you mean lenses that darken? They don't work through a car windscreen.

Yes, the ones that darken - I don't like wearing dark shades when I am driving, so I will wear the tinted pair and use the sun visor. My main reason for going for them was the fact that my eyes generally don't like bright light, especially bright daylight, and the transitions cut out just the right amount. If it is full on sunshine, then I still have my shades which are close enough to my current prescription to make no difference (there was next to no change in my prescription this time).

Did I hear right that you have a weather warning for gales?

It makes sense with what you've chosen then. I also have issues with bright light and darkness, that's down to Glaucoma and the start of cataracts. Finding something that suits me is difficult particularly as I wear bi-focals too.

Probably. I've been keeping my eye on the jet stream and it's not looking good next week. Not much different to the island's weather really.:)

I also have to factor in the use driving buses/coaches - the sunlight effect is different than it is in a car or van, hence going for the tinted set.

It is about the right time of year for it to get a bit wild up there - usually lasts until early December, and then the weather heads for the much colder side.

Again the wild weather is part of the jet stream that hits Mann and sweeps upwards, I'm used to that. We need to change our car before the worst sets in here though. :)

Yesterday was a warm sunny day but it dropped to its lowest temperature last night of 45.7F/7.6C. With the bright sunshine we already have this morning it's already up to 53.8F/12C. It's going to be a lovely day.
