    I agree with NG,

I have trouble walking at the best of times let alone with snow and ice. I've also got my 81 year old mom to look after so I have to walk to and from hers every day, plus she won't be able to go out.

I'd be happy if I never saw another flake of snow in my life.

I'd like to see a flake or two of snow, it would make a nice change from perma-rain. :doh:6C/43F

My sense of adventure went when it took me about 5 1/2 hrs to get home from Milton Keynes one afternoon/evening when it snowed whilst at work once . A distance of about 23 miles or so.
I wouldn't mind it so much if I worked locally, but it's a bottom of a journey at the best of times down those narrow country roads . Roll on retirement :)

Definitely find his owner if possible (I know you are trying) :dbgrtmb:. I would be devastated if one of mine (when alive) had gone missing. You could then......find one at the animal shelter, that you could fall in love with, and adopt :dbgrtmb:. Perfect :). I wish I could take on another.

          Luxury!!! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Visited #1 son, in Lincoln, a few days before Christmas and on the journey home hit a traffic "jam". Jam? Superglue more like it!!! We ended up travelling the almighty distance of .... wait for it :nonofinger: ...

          ... 1 mile per HOUR!!! :thud: And that was motorway!!! :lunapic 130165696578242 5: :lunapic 130165696578242 5: :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

But, seeing as it was the Christmas season (goodwill to all and all that) and looking on the bright side, I did learn a new Christmas song (which had me giggling and dancing in the car - absurd; the song *and* the dancing ... )

Weeellllll, you gotta larf aintcha :heehee: Brook-a-lene ...

@longk bet he's heard of it :heehee:

Sorry to hear that ... my comments were in jest only ... just teasing the Geeze. Certainly not aimed at anyone who is afflicted with disability.

(Must be one of those nights where my humour is being misinterpreted :dunno: )

It's been raining overnight so everything is wet and soggy outside. It's a touch warmer than it has been at 3.6C. It feels colder in the brisk wind though.

Haven't seen any snow for a couple of years, it's just wet most of the time here, only three dry days since Christmas.

Thanks @fat controller but I think my boiler is pre condensation regulations, built circa 2001. The only outside features are the flue vent on the back wall and a below it a little copper pipe 6 inches long bent downwards. Think this means it is non-condensing so doesn't have the plastic pipe leading to a drain which is I think what you were referring to. Beggar played up again this a.m. same thing every winter and engineers can't fathom it, apart from it is probably the (expensive) PCB.

                  Cold here but dry, 2c.

We didn't get anymore snow at the weekend, so most of it's gone now. Raining on and off today, and about 7ÂșC.

We had a dry morning but now it's just drizzle and it's still cold. Looks like the wind is back at the weekend!

Cold, grey & damp 3'c/38'f. All the snow has gone now.
On the cat front, he's booked into the vets on Thursday to see if he is chipped. The missus has phoned 3 vets and the cat rescue center and nothing's been reported missing

It felt reasonably mild on sticking my nose out of the Kitchen door and taking a breath of morning air. Having said that the temperature has never got above 37f all day, the skies were the inevitable smooth, pearl grey skies again and the Sun seems to have left the Solar System for better climes. The temperature is still 37f with a pressure reading of 1017mbs.:coffee:
