Well the sun is shining this morning and there's hardly a cloud in the sky. It's cold again and windy although not as windy as yesterday. It's the 1st of May on Sunday - I hope it warms up soon.

Well 35 years ago we had snow, today we had snow but not as much, it must be climate change :)

The weather is changing too rapidly, snow, wind, sun, hail, big black clouds, blue sky in any and all combinations :wallbanging:
Tomorrow, yikes  we are forecast snow and ice ...... :nonofinger: Sincerely unimpressed.

Intermittent sunny spells; a splosh of heavy rain (all of 5 minutes); Mr "M" reckons there was snow too (I must have blinked).
Still on the chilly side of comfortable-without-heating though.

@Beckie76 - thank you for the sun dance because it did work, then didn't, then did, then didn't. Now, I'm not sure if that's because the sun would have preferred you to have put your dressing gown on over your PJ's ... or not? :dunno: :heehee:

After a dull, wet start, today provided us with a blue sky and sunshine until sunset. The clouds are back now and gradually turning grey, more wintry showers to come methinks. 8C/46F

I knew we wouldn't get away without having a humdinger of a frost and we hit the jackpot last night /early this am.For days I've been expecting carnage and sure enough the slight wind that had kept the severe frost at bay dropped. God knows how cold it was but around -5 would be my guess. The vast majority of my extensive herbaceous have had all their new growth ruined so they'll have to start all over again and I'm not even going to mention the Rhododendrons/ Camellias/ Magnolias that were either flowering or about to (Knackered!). Hey ho it's not exactly the end of the world just disappointing when you've spent winter looking forward to things flowering. With this extremely cold weather all over the UK I don't think I'll be the only person grumbling:)!

More drizzle, more coldness and heavier rain is forecast for this afternoon. There's a Bank Holiday approaching so I suppose it's to be expected. :mute: :rolleyespink:

Weather was cold and overcast yesterday morning, but cleared by 11. Wind dropped, blue skies and glorious sunshine. Sat in garden in t-shirt all afternoon looking at view of the sea and all the birds flitting around and the cows in field next to caravan. Garden was alive with dozens of bird voices. It was most pleasant:smile: Anglesey is so amazing when weather is good. Was supposed to be gardening _ for long list of jobs to do _ but couldn't summon any motivation.

Today is nice at the moment.

Last two days have been crazy weather, last night a really long thunder storm but hardly any rain.

Temps have dropped last two nights but we got lucky, no frosts and only to 2C. *

Sounds good but the aphids are having a field day (and no doubt the vine weevil menace too).

                                * having said lucky, probably not down the allotment as more exposed
