    "What's your weather like?"

I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea!

    It was sunny.
Then it absolutely chucked it down.
    Then it was blazing sun.
Now, it's a big thunderstorm and belting downpour.

Crazy. Poor plants don't know whether they're coming or going. Suppose we have to get used to this kind of increasingly bizarre weather with climate change, though.

We have a sunny day now, although I think this summer was a little bit loo rainy! I mean July should have been the hottest month, but it still rained a lot. I'm really curious what should we expect for the winter.

Windy but dry here this morning, but I don't mind as it is helping me get my washing dry:D

My lawns look lush and green thanks to the weed and feed we put down a couple of months ago,but the grass verge out the front is looking a bit dead so could do with a drop more of the wet stuff:)

If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can help the goldfish in our village pond survive then please let me know.I wanted to go and put some tap water in the pond but Mr Kandy says that it will kill them so might have to resort to using water from my water butt but I don't think it is going to be enough to help them as they only have certain amount of water left and I can't bare to think of them drying to a crisp plus they must be running out of oxygen:(

Good morning Kandy.. Cool breezey & cloudy here today & keeps trying to rain with the misty drizzle now & again.....!! :dh: I wondered what the damp stuff was to start with, have almost forgotten what it was like..!! :lollol:

Kandy you can top a pond up with tap water in drought times like this, but, you must let it stand for a min of 24hrs pref 48hrs before you pour it in & don't pour the bottom few inches in..!!! That is where all the calcium chlorine etc will fall in that time you let it stand... You don't want to give them that bit... It will certainly help them Kandy if you have enough containers to let the tap water stand for that time..!! :thumb:

Hi Marley thanks for the info.:thmb:I had already been up to the pond with my camera and taken photos of the ones struggling and a few that have already died:(I had also taken up three buckets of water from my waterbutt plus a plastic jug and gently put some of the water as best as I could into the pond before I had seen your post.Mr Kandy uses a large container which he fills with water and leaves that to stand for 48 hours before he cleans out our aquarium so could use that but at the moment it is empty as he only cleaned them out the other night.:p

Sorry that this is off topic but I have to say that I wish people wouldn't offload their pets like this when their kids get bored with them and now once the pond gets back to it's proper level they will no doubt breed some more and then the pond will be overrun with them.A village pond is not the place for non native subjects:mad:

:dh: Morning all, very heavy showers here since about 4am... They really are heavy & water is just running everywhere instead of soaking into the ground...!!!! :dh: Hopefully some of it will do some good..!!!! I hope you are all OK & no risk of flash floods...!!!! :dh:
