The weather has caused me serious problems this week..... unable to play golf on either Wednesday or today, so I'll have had only one game this week.

We're not "fair weather golfers," we don't mind a bit of rain during a round, but it's a bit senseless starting a three hours plus round, if it's already raining...

    Still there's always Monday...

I have never heard that description before Woo. I have heard it is raining cats and dogs but not stair rods! Sounds painful :p
It has rained here most of the day but it hasn't been cold.

Heavy rain this morning although Yesterday was good and so was last Thursday:DI think from what they were saying on the forecast this morning that we might have this wet stuff for a few more day yet, although I did say when we were having that spell of hot weather that once the rain started it wouldn't stop:yez:

The only good thing is that this amount of rain will wash an awful lot of moss off our roof.
My wife is insisting it will be dry enough for golf tomorrow. Suggesting to her that the course may be too wet to play, cut no ice; "Well you can go down and have a coffee with your friends, can't you?" I think having missed two golf days in a week already because of the rain, has been more than enough for her.
It's true, quite a few will turn up, probably "thrown out of the house" for the same reason.
