We teed off at 9.30 this morning in warm bright sun. About 11.00am it clouded over and then the thunder and lightning started and we had hail stones "like mint imperials." The lightning worried one of my partners a bit (standing in the open with a bagfull of metal clubs with one in your hand can make some feel vulnerable, I'm OK mine are graphite!) so we came off, had a shower, got changed and went home.
It brightened up again at lunchtime, I got a bit done in the garden so the day wasn't a complete waste.

It's been a lovely day here and the weather is promising to stay mild and settled into the weekend (I sound like a TV Weather Presenter!). Managed to get some tidying up done in the garden, paths swept after all the rain and planted up my winter troughs with some pansies.

Then had a great motorbike ride down to Brighton to have lunch with a friend :)

Yes! It's sunny and breezy here...I feel a lawn mowing session coming on! This last week has been mild enough, but as I spend my working week doing other ppl's gardens...my own lawn tends to get neglected at times!

Today it was bright and sunny but extremely cold.
At golf on the "back nine" getting on for mid-day the greens in shade still had frost on them as they hadn't been "swished."

My max/min thermometer in my tea house said 35F/ 58F so much colder last night.

Freezing here today - light dusting of snow and frost at -4. Just waiting for the sun to come over the garden before I go out and rake up a few thousand more leaves. Brrr
