In 1 word, hellish. Had 2 ins of snow in 2 hours, baltic and blowing a howling gale so drifting likely. Glad got freezer full of grub and plenty of coal as can see road will be impassible again. Doesn't seem that long ago that we were cut off for over a week as the gritters don't "do" our road..sigh. Didn't help that Fife Council ran out of salt! I don't believe it is that unusual for us to have snow up here in Scotland but you'd think it was as it seems to take our council by surprise EVERY year.

Had a smashing day. Sun was out, temp about 6C but with no wind it felt warm. Spent the pm. in the garden doing the last of the hand-weeding, cutting the grass etc. everything is shut down for the cxxx weather they're forecasting for the next couple of weeks. Isn't Global Warming great? LoL

Sure is, without it the ice sheets will start rolling again. We are still in an interglacial period, the ice age is not over yet.

Even got snow on the ground at West Bay this morning. Just cleared it from the cold frames & there is liquid condensation on the underside of the glass :gnthb: Keeping the frost off the plants then, excelent.

We have snow which is pretty but not so good for driving. I saw on the news that the North has been hardest hit, also Norfolk where I am.

It snowed quite heavily last night here in Yorkshire but we've had none today. Garden has a few inches covering the entirety so I've put some extra food on the table for the birds.
Roads, and even the paths, are a bit dangerous, take care if you go out.

We had about an inch of snow yesterday which closed the schools, but today it's all blue skies and sunshine. It hasn't risen above freezing so the snow isn't moving yet. The mountains look stunning, I'm just glad it's the weekend and no work until Monday.

Snowed during the night and we also has thunder and lightning from about 5.00am to 8.00am.
Village street is impassable without 4WD and its drifted to about 12" in our drive. I need to get it dug out for tomorrow but it's snowing hard again so I reckon I'll wait until late pm before I reach for the shovel.
