Suns been shining, snows melted & been outside with no coat down here in West Bay.

Quite warm really. Clouding over now though.

For those of you who haven't got any white stuff yet...please have some of mine. The glasshouse in pic has had it's roof desnowed 4 times before picture taken. The Cedar has 3 huge branches down, an erormous laurel is all but demolished (not that keen on it anyway) all my old Tree Heathers which were over 10 ft high are broken and I haven't even dared to look at my Camellias...groan. There is so much snow that it was impossible to knock snow of the branches of all the shrubs.

However still have power...obviously! which is morwe than some near here and have coal fire going so could be a lot worse.

We finally got it this morning, just a few inches but it has been snowing all day and caused chaos driving home. I think I'll be taking tomorrow off at this rate, it's freezing and the gritting lorries haven't been able to get out, as usual it only takes a few inches to bring everything to a halt around us

Where to begin. Bromley's got about 10 inches of snow so far. A 20 year old 8 ft conifer is currently resembling an upside down Octopus, and I'm wondering if its days are numbered, an old Pear tree thats lost 2/3's of its branches (admittedly it was Ivy ravaged but similarly, next year it looks like the Tree Surgeon will have to put it out of its misery), most of the bedding has been completely flattened by snow, and I've just come in in my dressing gown trying to beat the snow off all of them to give them a helping hand.

I'm pretty upset about the Pear Tree.

We are snowed in, it's deadly out on the paths and roads, people were stuck for hours last night on the M25 and we are hearing other motorways are closed this morning. So it's a day off for me!

Don't worry about snow causing plants to bend over Archdoodler, confiers will spring back for sure. My Chusan Palms are looking very sorry for themselves, the fronds are touching the ground with the weight of the snow, but the same happened last year and they recovered.

:) Only a sprinkling of snow in my part of Suffolk, but it is very cold and bright.
I am amazed when I see the news on TV at how lucky we are and I can only sympathise with those who are affected badly.
The kids must be loving it though exept when they get cold-aches in their hands .....Oh yes I do remember that ,although it was a while ago.... :snow:

Glad to hear you're ok and keeping warm, Scotkat. It's bad enough down here in Kent.
