We had a touch of snow earlier, after a cold sunny day. Looks like it might freeze here over night. :dh: 02

Minus 7.5 at 0730 today. Thick covering of snow that fell a couple of days ago hasn't melted at all. Main roads are clear though icy in patches but the side streets are just sheets of compacted snow. Took two hours to dig out our 40m driveway to let our Christmas guests escape. Now got a bit more excavation to do so that I can get our car out so we can get into Perth for supplies later today.

It's not been bad at all today, it's raining a bit this evening.
It looks as if it's going to be fine tomorrow for our drive up to Newcastle. A few days ago I was ready to call it off if there was no improvement. But the last of the ice and snow had disappeared by this morning.

Minus 10C in Perth when we went to Tesco about 1.00pm. Temperature at home has now risen to a balmy 0.2 with more snow threatened.

Had a very slight thaw yesterday - temp rose to 2.5. Cleared the snow off the concrete slabs in the drive, but when we woke today we'd had another sprinkling. The garden has now been white for about a week and it's quite deep. Had a heck of a job excavating a parsnip for Christmas dinner and today gave up on trying to locate a bit of parsley!
    Now back to minus 3.
