    It's been a absolutely beautiful day here in West Cheshire with 26C in the afternoon. I started to water a seeded area on the lawn, until blackness came from the West and we had a really good thunderstorm, lightning, thunder and torrential rain - actually not that bad an end to the day as the garden needed rain.:sunny::thumbsup:

    The 'heavy rain' forecast for the early hours of this morning on the Met Office website failed to materialise, and the 'isolated thundery showers' for late afternoon onwards have disappeared from the latest forecast, so there's no rain forecast until at least the 28th April.

    I've only had 2 heavy showers fall on my veg/flowers in March, and only 1 so far April.

    Here in Milan Malpensa, overcast today.
    Actual temp: +13 C
    High: +16 C
    Low: +11 C.

    about two weeks ago (April 9), high at +32 C !
    The question is: is weather mad ???
    I mean: today, nearly +30 in Britain and just around +15 in northern Italy.
    Two weeks ago, over +30, today +15 (still in northern Italy).
    The answer is: it is :-)
    I remember in april 1991, here in Milan the following fact:
    April 16, sunny weather and high temperature at +25 C.
    The following day (April 17), late in the afternoon, temperature drammatically dropping at zero and SNOWFALL !

    We've just had the official figures for rainfall in our village. This March was the lowest recorded amount for March - ever :rolleyespink: - 0.37"

    I wouldn't be surprised if April is also the lowest recorded amount!
