This is the first day for the past 27 days that we had no rain. It was dry yesterday afternoon, so we could cut the grass for the first time in four weeks. Happy days, what can I say?

For some strange reason though, we have no slugs in the garden. I thought that they would devour our plants in the wet weather, but not one to be seen. It's amazing really as they are always a problem at this time of year. Maybe we had frost just at the right time at one point and their eggs were all killed off?

Quick update: it's raining again, I think we are going for a regional record here, 28 days with rain in May - unusual, even for the West of Scotland!

We had to take our car to the local garage this morning for some work to be done on it and while we were waiting for an hour or so while it was being sorted it started drizzling so we are very glad that we didn't go off for a walk round the town or else we would have got a bit damp:D It has finally stoppped now but we still have the wind and it feels quiet chilly as well :gaagh:
