We've had rain overnight so that's saved me from watering the entire garden today !

Grey and dreary here currently but it's not cold though so it's not all bad :D

according to the weather station info that I frequent, Cambridge has has 88,1mm of rain since midnight last night ... it has not rained during the day today, so I presume that amount of rain fell during the early morning (assuming that the info is correct)

.....indeed "always the wind"; VERY windy here today, several pots blown over today and lots of apples fallen from the tree (that's no bad thing though :yummy:), reasonably mild though.

Along with the wind this year the other main feature with the weather round here has been the alarming lack of rain :help:, just a couple of nights of heavy rain (and it was heavy :D ) and a few showery days in the last 5 or 6 months.

According to the papers its supposed to have been the coldest summer too (June to August) in the midlands for many years , I think they must have had their thermometer stuck in a bucket of ice because apart from a couple of cool days last week its been really quite warm here if not always sunny.
