Absolutely walloped it down from around 3 last night, and the air is much clearer now - still barely slept it was so warm, so I am currently making use of the company's coffee :coffee:

It's a grey start this morning - very still and nicely warm at 15.5C,

Thanks Loli, we got your storm last night:sad: It took out the electricity for half an hour and flattened the garden. It's a grey, overcast and still morning in this part of WY, I hope it improves.

Someone must have had bad storms overnight, we had plenty of powercuts! 1:30am until 3am I was continually woken up by my phone chirping each time the power came back as it started charging again!

We're at 33.5c at the moment with 44% humidity and no breeze ... aaaggghhh ... have put the a/c on in the kitchen for the first time this year, still not in the bedroom, just overhead fan and windows wide open. We are the only country in Europe same time as UK so it's 6.30pm at the mo. This temp is around 10c more than the norm for this time of year ... should go down on Monday and get back to normal ... :phew:

Had lunch at the river today but although there was a breeze it was tiring and I ate virtually nothing, a bit of tuna with beans and salad so plan on 'southern fried chicken' tonight perhaps with some coleslaw and have turned the oven on ... I know it sounds weird, but I'll be hungry in an hour. :rolleyespink:

Our 'new' cat Hoover Van Dyson was snoozing inside our gates under the weeping Callistemon when we got home at 4.30pm so he had a treatie and has gone under an orange tree I think for a snooze before dinner.

Enjoy your evening everyone ... ou, divirte-se ... :spinning:

The day started warm and muggy with lots of Sunshine. At around 3.p.m. the wind was coming from the North East and brought grey and then black clouds which gradually blocked out the Sun and took over the skies. Having said that it is hasn't rained and stayed just as warm and the temperature topped at 77f.:coffee::snork:

Not to worry, the sun came out about 2pm and we now have a lovely, if cool, evening. Please don't keep it zipped, this forum just wouldn't be the same

I've shut the door as it's starting to cool down rather rapidly and I think we are in for a few cool nights,

What a difference a day makes. The island didn't get the promised rain last night, typical! I put weed killer down on the lawn a couple of days ago and wanted it watered in, so the sprinkler has had to go on this evening. This coming week is supposed to be hot and dry, we'll see!

Wall to wall sunshine and a temperature of 21C! I sweltered in the car on Peel harbour earlier this evening whilst tucking into fish and chips with my other half. :phew:

After a few heavy showers through the day, it has calmed now and is a mild night and nowhere near as muggy as it has been recently

Still no rain here. Ground is cracking up so I'm continuing with the sprinkler - it's been going all day for the last three days!

Normally I only use it on the veggie garden and the flower beds fend for themselves, but because we have had to plant loads of new plants (to replace the 4,000 Aquilegias that died) we need to help them get established properly.

No rain forecast for the coming week!
