    10 miles from the coast in the rainy west

    Slightly cooler and less humid than yesterday, high clouds and few of them so probably in for a dry night again. I always hope for rain only at night and more of it on the weeds than the rest of the garden so that the slugs and snails get attracted to those. I'm seriously thinking of cultivating, watering and feeding a weed border as they find my newest and well-growing plants even as I'm putting the hose away!

              Sorry Zigs hugely ignorant about fishing!
              What would you be hoping to catch (other than sunstroke and a hangover)
              Apart from mackerel
              Sole? Flounder? Bass? .....
              Used to listen to the fishing guys on talk radio years ago ..... Just as a soothing background distraction didn't really absorb much which I regret now!

              Because Morrisons sell them when they are smaller than the sardines.
              It must be having an effect on the stocks of mackerel, even they are not immune from over fishing.
