I had a kipper bone stuck in my throat once, spent hours at casualty, that one never reached my bowels.

Thunder and lightning since 3.50 a.m. It's gradually rumbling off into the distance. Rain on and off during that time and sometimes quite heavy.

The thunder and lightning came back again but not the rain. The last rumble was about 6.15 and now it's very overcast with not a hint of a breeze.

            Just a thought.

Why do we say thunder and lightning when it should, logically, be lightning and thunder?

Overcast here but had no thunder or lightening overnight. A much more comfortable night for sleeping. A pleasant 20c on the patio right now and very still,

nice not to have to go watering.

Big thunderstorm about forty minutes ago, garden under 3-4 inches of water. Got in the car to come to work and found that it was completely dry about a mile up the road!

Nice warm day but would love to hear it raining tonight. Just been out and watered again from the tap - the butts are completely empty!

Missed the rain yesterday and again this morning.
It started about half an hour ago.

Looking at the radar it looks fairly light mainly, thank god, dont want any of those downpours.
