It's been raining overnight but has just started getting a bit heavier. 12-1pm is our forecast panic-stations time...

Gusty - blown a couple of pots over and sent a black washing up bowl on a trek across the communal lawn. Steady rain but very mild,

Just come back from a trip to buy some printer ink.
Nothing startling there I guess, unless you was to see the rain, it was torrential and went on for 45mins, the roads were under at least 6ins of water all the way back home, just looked at the rain gauge and its got 30mm in it.

Had to lift a manhole to try and get rid of the surface water coming into the back porch.

It started spit and spot at around 1a.m. this morning and then during the night towards 5a.m. it was raining steadily. So to the dismay of the Cats, they had to sit by the open Kitchen door and watch it coming down. It dried up for about an hour but now the Cats are back in the House not looking happy as it's started to rain again!! The temperature 61f.:coffee::snork:

Heating is on....light's on as it's dark and here comes the thunder. It's still raining after a very brief respite. It's supposed to be at it's worst for the north tonight and tomorrow. I watched a weather report on BBCNews24 earlier and the weather forecaster said it was pretty much the end of summer. I hope he's wrong! :rolleyespink:

Looking at the radar it seems we have another intense band of rain to come through in the next hour or so.
Pity as the sun is now out and its dried up very quickly.
Due to the fact its blowing a gale almost.

A couple of rough spells here - one biggie between 20 and 12 turned many roads into rivers.

@pete - is that second band likely to hit West London?

Torrential rain from 5am until about 9.00am the stopped then it all kicked off again , now blue skies and its blowing a storm that "Bertha" has got some explaining to do , I even had to quickly put a landing board in front of my mini hive so the bees could land a lot easier, worked a treat .
