Whats your Weather Like.? 2014..

Another gorgeous sunny day here, third in a row, and got up to 12C this afternoon. Think we're going to pay for it with rain for a week but it's been lovely while it lasted.

 

Non stop heavy rain today and yet another gale this evening to add to it, 6C. There are puddles on the lawns, even my free draining sandy soil can't cope anymore.

 

Oh dear Sheal,
all your lovely roses having another hard Winter. But I'm sure they will come good again. I'm trying to tell myself that it's better than minus temperatures and 3 foot of snow,

Cloudy all day with wind gusting to 50mph and worse to come on Wednesday.

 

The roses aren't doing to badly Jenny. A couple have suffered a little with wind rock but otherwise they are okay. Sorry, I'd rather have the snow, at least it would brighten things up out there.

 

Guess what, you know that low pressure storm that we've got coming on Wednesday?
Well, it goes away on Thursday and is followed by another on Saturday....

Well the wind is dropping here but it's still pouring with rain. I knew I should have hibernated!

 

Well it's 4C, the wind has died down and it's dry.

 

Beautiful blue sky and sunshine but i'm not counting my chickens

 

It's sunny here now but chilly in the wind.

 

It'll be of no comfort to y'all in Blighty to know that the we're being affected by the same weather fronts which are sweeping in from the Atlantic and up to you. We had snow on Saturday and the coast was severly battered on Sunday by huge waves which caused no end of damage. They're battening down the hatches in preparation for what's forecast tonight and tomorrow morning - gales and more enormous waves. For the last two months it's been one weather front after another coming in from the Atlantic.
