        Well last week's snow has finally gone (except for on the hills), leaving an array of squashed, bent or broken plants. Most will bounce back I think, even after the gales of Saturday and Sunday - I'm getting so tired of the bloody wind!! :gaah: The forecast for this week is a bit of a mixed bag - some sunshine, some rain and maximum temperatures of between 10 and 20ºC.

              Cloudy and grey on the drive to and from Birmingham today and it's raining a little right now. One thing I noticed over the weekend when we had that lovely warm weather was that when I stepped into the garden in the early morning there was a difference as the air was really heavy with scent from the Osmanthus, Hyacinth, and one or two other shrubs.......really nice. Unfortunately, although it's 53f outside the rain seems to be limiting the scent as I stood in the Kitchen doorway.:coffee::snork:

                  Yesterday, although not as warm as Sunday, was another mild day but with no sunshine. Everything is covered with Saharan dust and, apparently, we shan't have any rain 'til Thursday to wash it away. We've been having to do a lot of watering because of lack of rain.

                  This morning is mild and hazy with the promise of the sun coming over the horizon :SUNsmile:. The forecast is for 20C today

                          Bloodsome here, had the Harr for 2 days and could hardly see in front of my nose, now raining and NOT warm. Way colder than it was in January/February. Loads of new lambs in the fields around us, poor wee things look miserable. See many of you lot down South are having lovely weather, sure I've gone a slight shade of green about the gills:).
