Cool and cloudy again, only 17c, a dismal day at Brownsea Island with some drizzle.
Temperatures have been downgraded now for the coming week just when I was hoping for some hot weather, Wednesday may reach 25c and after that only 22c, the BBC will no doubt change it all again!

It turned out really warm this morning.
Got the pressure washer out around 1 pm.

Then it tried to rain, didn't even dampen the ground, but kind of put me off.

        Brightening up again now.

Reasonable sort of day - rained earlier which stopped play in the garden, and has been sort of lightly overcast since. Not cold, but not warm either

The day started with completely cloud covered skies but it was warm with a strong breeze from the West. There was obviously fast winds higher up as the clouds were moving at great speeds throughout the morning. By early afternoon the Sun was making more of an appearance and it got even warmer with the clouds starting to clear. The maximum temperature was 72f and right now it's 64f with a pressure reading of 1034mbs. The breeze has dropped to a whisper and the Telescope is out on the Patio with the skies clearing.:hapydancsmil::snork:

We are having a mini heatwave of 34c but should go down to normal in the week. Better than the Alentejo above us where it may go to 44c. :yikes:

The island was battered by strong winds and heavy rain last night which damaged my Lupins and Roses. :doh:My garden really isn't performing this year with the weather being so erratic, it's disheartening. After a wet start this morning the sun decided to show itself and it turned out to be a fine but breezy day, 20C.

I wish I could send some good weather your way @Sheal - it has been a very frustrating year garden wise this year, and that is for me in the relatively sheltered SE of England; I genuinely feel your pain knowing that the weather is that bit cooler and less predictable where you are.

Thanks @fat controller that's a kind thought. :) It's always been difficult to garden here and I was spoilt by the last two good summers, so this year it's back to the norm. It doesn't help that I'm losing interest because the house is up for sale.

That is entirely understandable @Sheal - I just hope that the future owner of your home realises how much expertise has been donated to their garden.

Have you decided whereabouts in Bonny Scotland you are likely to settle?

I understand that, its difficult to keep going when you know you are moving, I've probably moved more times that most. Keep your pecker up and think what you can do on your next move... I would be potting things up now ready to go :heehee: , are you moving anywhere interesting?

After a heavy downpour in the early hours, the morning was cloudy and the afternoon was sunny and warm 21'c/70'f

I don't know about expertise @fat controller although I've tried my best here, it's the most difficult garden I've had and there's been quite a few. Move number eight coming up! We'll be settling in Galloway as I still need fairly easy access to the island with my daughter and her family still living here. Other half and I love Ullapool but the distance will be to much to return to the island. You may remember my other two children live abroad, so we'll be scattered far and wide. :)

Selling's not going to be easy @Apple Blossom. The market here is at an all time low and being an island it creates restrictions. There are properties here that have been on the market for nearly three years. My place has been up for sale for a week and a half and I'm back in the agents tomorrow to drop the price, there's been no interest at all. I don't want to be caught out in this current market.

There is no point in potting anything up because I can take very little with me, about half a dozen plants at most. We're selling before we buy in Scotland and may buy a motorhome as a stop gap. Our furniture will go into storage. :)
