      You know that spate of storms that they were forecasting for the other night?.....well, they arrived this afternoon. The morning had been lovely with warm sunshine and patchy blue skies then in the early afternoon it clouded over with mid to dark grey clouds and then it rained. I say "rained", what I mean is that there was driving rain with heavy gusts of winds so that there was vertical waves of rain moving over the ground. While that was happening we had violent claps of thunder and flashes of lightning all of which last for around 3 hours. But now the storms have abated, the winds have dropped and the sun has come out so I'll have an amble around the garden in a minute or two to see what's what. The great thing about my garden is that it is fast draining and so I'll be able to walk on the lawn and it won't be flooded or squishy!! The temperature is now 61f, [a lot cooler], and the pressure reading is 1029mbs.:coffee::snork:

        It never rains but it pours eh, Armandii!

        Spring returned to the island during the middle of last week so temperatures are back down below 20C. We haven't had the storms as such although there have been bouts of heavy rain with strong winds, enough to create plant damage in the garden. I'd already given up on this years disaster as far as growing is concerned, so a little bit more won't make any difference. :doh:Toms are doing okay in the greenhouse though! :)

        A heavy downpour around lunch time followed by a grey sky this afternoon, 16C.

          What a crazy day :rolleyespink:

          Cloudy but very warm very early this morning , then torrential rain and lots of thunder and now blue skies very little wind , also on the local news two people killed in the Brecon Beacons with separate lightning strikes, how sad is that to go out for a walk and that happen.

            Nice blue skies and sunshine this morning. Rain is forecast for this later on though. It's 15.3C in the shady part of the garden.

                    It's been cloudy and cool since the morning with the rain starting around mid day. So that set the theme for the day I'm afraid.:dunno::cry3: My two cats gave up and spent the day either bothering me or curling up and going to sleep.:cat-kittyandsmiley:

                      Yesterday was a non-starter, it really should have been a day when the curtains remained closed. Strong wind and rain all day.

                      Today is grey with showers, 14C. I'd like to get my front lawn mowed, it shouldn't need cutting once a week at this time of year. :doh:
