I think it's my fault as there's a saying in Astronomy circles that if you buy any new equipment you get a week of clouds and rain, and I've just bought some stuff for my telescope:wallbanging::dunno::heehee:

We had the rain start her around 9.30amish and I'd didn't stop raining all day and didn't stop until roughly near our bed time at 10pm so at least the garden and lottie have both had a good drink and my border cracks might just start to close up soon.

Only wish now that I had taken up al,our onions and shallots as they are now ready but was busy picking raspberries before the birdies ate them all:snork:

Dry here this morning but the temperature inside feels so cool I feel like turning the heating back on:biggrin:

The sun's returned together with low fluffy clouds. Everything is soaked - even the huge hanging basket so I don't need to water for quite a while. 11C and a NNW breeze but I think the storm's well away by now - it stopped thunder & lightening by 11 pm last night,

It's mostly cloudy but the sun is making a short lived appearance now and again. It's breezy and pleasantly warm.

25mm of rain late yesterday and overnight, the grass it starting to green up already.
Cold wind this morning but not anywhere near as strong as forecast, thank god.

Reached 21C this afternoon with sunny periods.

Heavy rain due here tomorrow between 9am and 5pm. You can have too much of a good thing and 16c/17c isn't a Summer Sunday temperature ...:wallbanging:

They really shouldn't let the kids have a summer holiday from school, the same thing happened last year, if I remember rightly.
Decent weather until they break up for the summer, then its rain followed by more rain.

hopefully we might get some half decent weather around the second week of September ;)

After a dull ,cool day the sun made a brief appearance at tea time and for a short while it got really quite warm. Now it's raining but that 'nice' rain, the sort that wets things through but doesn't flatten everything.

I refuse point blank to close the back door,it is summer after all :old: so I'm going to sit and watch it:thumbsup: Oooo I feel a song coming on:whistle:....
