We've had some sunshine this morning but it's clouded over now and there's a bit of a breeze. It's 17.8C.

        What a difference a day makes:snork:

Over the weekend we had beautiful weather with a nice breeze to help keep it cool and yesterday was good apart from a few drops of rain that splattered on the car windscreen.

Today has been totally different with no sun just cloud all day and no wind whatsoever so you could hear a pin drop and only the odd pigeon coo cooing, not even any sparrows, starlings and even next doors House Martins are quiet with no activity:sad:

The temperature is now dropping and there is a distinct chill in the air,oh and my washing has struggled to dry and it has been hanging out since 7.30amish:sad:

        Roll on Summer....:snork:

Mostly cloudy, 2mm of rain early on :yikes:, but dry day spoilt by cloud.

@shiney have you ever been to the NT property at Wimpole Hall and gardens?Went there on Sunday and it was a most enjoyable few hours spent although we didn't bother walking up to the newly opened folly because our tootsies were killing us and couldn't be bothered to drag ourselves up to it:snork:

@Kandy No we haven't been there. It's quite close to Anglesey Abbey and we tend to go there when we're up that way. It's a good idea to visit Anglesey Abbey when there are the Open Gardens at Lode. Lode is the little village next to the Abbey so you get to see those as well. :blue thumb:

And we finally have some decent rain around Junction 9 of the m25 in Surrey! Seen virtually none for 4 months!

Been a grey day here today, and quite humid - feels like there is a change on the way though, as the air temp has cooled quite a bit since darkness.

It's a nice bright morning with blue skies and a slight breeze. A sunny day is forecast so hopefully I can get some work done in the garden. Friday isn't looking too good. We've got a severe weather warning :yikes:.....I like a good storm though!

Still only nearly rained - but the farmers have been having a field day :snork:. We can't drive anywhere on the local roads without being held up by combine harvesters. There was a bit of bad organisation the other day. Two combines, trying to go in opposite directions on a road only wide enough to squeeze two cars past each other. :hate-shocked: I was lucky enough to be able to turn round at a field entrance and go another way. The combines may still be there as far as I know :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Hi @shiney didn't realise that Anglesey Abbey was close by so will have to try that one in the future. Is that the one you visit for the snowdrops in the spring? We were thinking of going to Whipsnade Zoo but we went there last year for my birthday treat and it was going to cost us a lot to go this year and that is just to get through the gates and at the moment we have a few vet visits with Poppy for treatment so wanted to go somewhere a bit cheaper and as we are members of the NT was a better bargain:snork:

PS another dry day and the clouds are quiet pretty with the sun shining behind them as it climbs in the sky.:spinning:
