I drove to Wem in Shropshire today to take my sister shopping and for a meal, and on the way the weather was quite bright. By the time I got to Wem the skies were darkening. My sister decided to the Percy Thrower Nursery [also known as Percy Throwups:heehee:] outside Shrewsbury and it started to rain on the way with a constant temperature of 55f. Just as we got there and were out of the car heading for the entrance the Heavens opened up and the rain came in vertical walls of water driven by howling winds. The staff were trying to shut the huge doors against the driving rain and winds but we just managed to get in before they did. It was quite a Squall as it last nearly half an hour with torrential rain in "walls" advancing across the car park and, in fact, the cars only 25 yards away disappeared out of sight as the rain was that solid. And worse, I then had to hang around while my sister went into the shopping mall there to choose some winter trousers.......you need a flask and sandwiches when that happens:doh:. Right not the temperature 48f and the pressure reading is 1022mbs

We've had a gale blowing all day again. The sky has still been grey although we've had some sunshine breaking through, 13C/55F.

Tomorrow the temperatures start to gradually drop, as we're promised wintry showers at the weekend.

        Thanks @Beckie76 :)
All ok here :dbgrtmb:. It was a bit windy, but nothing too severe in my opinion.
We had a mini tornado hit in September, which did a fair bit of damage....
Look at the piece of wood through the windscreen and dashboard of the car :ouch1:http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/464707/Northampton-tornado-pictures
All seems quiet and mild at present :)

Another dull, drab day. We had a little bit of sunshine yesterday but it didn't last long. No sign of the sun today. It's still quite windy and the temp is 12.2C. It looks like it's about to start raining.

Like most people the weather here has been dull, grey, with the occasional light brief shower. The top temperature never got above 50f and during the afternoon dropped to 48f. The skies have started to clear a little and I can actually see the Moon!!:hapydancsmil::hapfeet: while the temperature right now is 44f with a pressure reading of 1031mbs.:coffee::snork:

Surprisingly we've had a reasonable day here. Up until dusk a weak sun shone and it was almost windless, just a breeze, 11C/52F. The wind has picked up since sunset and there's a shower or two around now.

Its a bit breezy but dry and the temperature is currently 8.8C. We've got a yellow weather warning for snow later tonight even at lower levels. I doubt we'll get any here though. Gales are also predicted - sounds wonderful! :snork:

A bit of a shock to the system today as the temperature halved to 6C/43F. The day started off bright enough but windy, and slowly went down hill as it progressed. This evening a gale has been blowing again with some wintry showers thrown in for good measure. I expect to see snow on the hills in the morning.
