The wind roared and rumbled throughout the night after gathering in strength last night and I was expecting to hear the rain lashing on the windows at sometime. But in fact the rain didn't arrive until around mid day and then it came in squalls. The top temperature was 57f and right now it's 42f with the pressure reading of 1007mbs. It's still raining and the winds are gusting at the moment.:coffee:

It's called the Cascadia Subduction Zone and it's like an undersea extension of the San Andreas Fault

The quake was sub aquatic @shiney so your map was interesting to study. Thanks. :)

Thank you Lori, that's put me in the picture. :) With other concerns on her mind, my daughter didn't give us the details apart from the fact she said she's not seen house walls bend before. I noticed Abbotsford was mentioned in the article, that's very close to where my daughter lives.

It poured with rain all night and didn't let up until mid afternoon. From then on we've had showers of hail, rain and a glimpse of sunshine too. 8C/46F.

Can someone turn the taps off please? It's hardly stopped since the beginning of November and I want to get out in the garden. Housework gets tedious after a while!

I think its safe to say we have had our last 4mm of rain for 2015 tonight.
I've got a total of 599.5mm, so comes out as a very average year for this part of the world.

Driest month was April with 15.5mm
                              Wettest was August with 80.5mm.
