Heavy rain this morning which cleared around lunchtime to leave a mainly grey afternoon with the odd glimpse of sunshine.....and of course the strong wind into the bargain, 9C.

A cold day with cloud covered skies and a stiff chilly breeze. I felt the effect of it as I stayed up to 4am outside in the garden because it was a really clear night and I watched Jupiter and friends until I had frost on the Telescope:hate-shocked: So I decided to have a lie in until 9am but there was a knock on the door at 800am which was a delivery of Timber from the local Timber Yard that I ordered and forgotten about.:gaah: The driver was a bit taken aback when I answered the door dress in a hastily donned vest, jeans, and crocs but was laughing when I explained what I'd been doing. The really daft part was that the driver was also a star gazing fanatic like me so I stood on my driveway, hastily dressed, talking about telescopes as he took the timber off the lorry and I froze!!:lolpt::hate-shocked: Right now the temperature is 44f and the pressure reading is 1039mbs:coffee::snork:

I put our heating off at the weekend, and have had windows open pretty much since then - really cold breeze blowing in the bedroom window last night, but it was only the blast of air that was cold if that makes sense - the rest of the house seemed quite warm.

I left work this afternoon, and was surprised by the cold edge to the breeze, and even more surprised when the car external temp sensor was showing 11ÂșC - it certainly didn't feel like it was as warm as that! In short, I haven't been able to get a heat in me since -- and the heating has been on tonight for a couple of hours, yet my feet are still like ice and even my nose and ears are cold.

Those clear nights have been too rare over the Winter, Sheal, so I have to take every opportunity:heehee:

Clear skies and 5.3C this morning. The forecast for today is good with it all going downhill tomorrow here so I'll get some gardening in today when I can. :fingers crossed:

A good day yesterday. Frosty morning, followed by sun but then a very overcast afternoon with the temp dropping - but no rain.

The sun is already out today
