    A changeable day, weatherwise, today. There was totally grey skies up to the mid-morning, that changed to blue patches and white clouds later in the morning. More grey skies arrived in the early afternoon followed by clearing skies. But, despite the TV Weather forecast of clear skies now it is still cloud covered............I guess I shouldn't have wheeled the Big Scope ready for some viewing tonight:doh::dunno::gaah:Right now the temperature is 45f and the pressure reading is 1057mbs.

      Apparently I missed the Aurora Borealis that could be seen from the island in the early hours of this morning, there's a possibility it may reappear tonight.

      It's been beautiful here today, sunny with hardly a cloud in the sky and an air frost visibly hanging over the hills before sunset, 10C but down to 1C overnight.

                    The sky is blue but it's looking a little hazy. If it stays like this it will be better for seeing the eclipse. Sadly cloud is forecast for Liverpool later this morning - hope the forecasters are wrong! It's 4.7C and nippy in the breeze outside. Enjoy the eclipse if you are watching! :)
