Sunny all day, wind never abated, so a cold wander around Poole Park lake.

 

Why would that be @shiney?

The snow is thawing and our drive has reappeared at last. Today has been dry with mostly sunshine, 3C/37F.

 

Glad you are ok @Sheal. That would have been not the best start to you new lives near Inverness if you'd had a prang!
I have to put my hands up and admit I acquired an enormous yellow streak down my back today. Our driveway and road is literally a skating rink and I really didn't fancy driving but needed some bits and pieces. Daughter who has her class 1 licence, is an experienced driver in bad conditions and knows me well, funnily enough!, could perhaps see my bottom lip quivering a bit at the prospect of having to tackle the roads so kindly offered to drive me to the shops. I swiftly accepted. Once on the main road everything was fine except for the incredibly bright sunshine which was just at the wrong height. However, got to the shops and back with no incidents. It did make me smile a little to myself at the beginnings of roll reversal with me now being somewhat mothered by daughter

 

Sunny up till mid afternoon, then it clouded over with a light shower.
Sunset at 15.49, after today the sunset starts to get later.
However the sunrise is still getting later until 5th of Jan.

 

Not in my current life time @shiney. I don't take many holidays, I tend to move house instead.

Mine would try but there's to many miles between us so they don't know what's going on.

Our sunset times don't start pulling out until Monday @pete then they gradually build starting two minutes a day and then three. Currently 15.32 and at a standstill.

Sunny here until mid afternoon when the grey clouds reappeared. The snow is still thawing slowly but I'm yet to retrieve my gardens - two weeks on. Next week is looking a fair bit warmer though, fingers crossed. 1C/34F
