Watched the chicken torturer's car go down the lane before. His front number plate was making a nice job of levelling the snow in the middle of the road. At least an inch of snow in his tyre tracks now, perhaps an hour later. Still snowing heavily too. Reckon we have had about a foot over the last three days.

Got asked to help some elderly (late 80's and 90's) neighbours whos heating had gone off.

What has that got to do with the weather? Their boiler flue had become blocked with snow and pilot light had gone out.

Got it going again and saved them a fortune in callout charges.

We ended up with 7" of snow. Looked lovely but hard to shift it.

Its been snowing on and off for the past few days, was forecast to snow heavy today but it seems to of moved further south so only had a flutter, probably only got 1 -2 inch of snow.

Just watched 5 day forecast on Countryfile very cold next few days and warming up on Wednesday, forecast -10 and -12 overnight tonight and Monday. I wonder how well a couple of plants are going to do Lobelia Tupa and Agastache black adder, they have mulch of leaves and snow so hopefully they will survive :fingers crossed:.

Well, considering Cheshire seemed to be in the centre of the heavy snow forecast we've, locally, only had an inch or two of snow yesterday and maybe an inch today:dunno: All the roads are completely clear of snow and even the cul-de-sac where I live is relatively snow clear on the road surface. I believe though that in a radius of about 5 miles out from where I live the snow has been quite thick with anything from 2 or 3 inches to a foot in depth. So we've had the odd very light, short, shower of thin snow flakes but nothing else, even the breeze has been absent although the temperature has been up and down between 30f and 32f. Right now the temperature is 31f and the pressure reading is 965hpa.:coffee::snorky:

No more snow today, just a lovely blue sky and lots of sunshine making everything look clean and sparkly, -3C/27F.

Had to chuckle when I laid eyes on Oswald the owl this morning, now a Snowy owl?

Morning all. Finally stopped snowing this morning. Drifts in places. Yesterday hubby cleared the drive way and the path all around the front garden. So people would know where the path was and don't walk on our garden.

According to the Garden Weather Station the temperature during the night dropped to just over -3C/26f

Right now the skies are clear and cloudless, the temperature is 33f, with very little, or no, breeze, and the pressure reading is 973hpa. If the skies remain clear tonight I'll have the Observatory powered up and, wearing my cold weather clothes I might have a shot at some Star/Moon imaging.:heehee::coffee:
