Looks like a few good days coming up with 'Summer' temperatures at last, 22/24c.
Hazy start but should clear for a sunny warm day, just right for the Garden Fete at my Mum's Care Home this afternoon.

Today started with drizzle but by late morning that had cleared and the sun shone for the rest of the day. 20C/68F

Yesterday was too hot and sticky. It reached 83F and the humidity was felt like 150% :heehee:

Forecast for today is even hotter :hate-shocked: and I've got loads of cooking to do! Guests for lunch, tea and supper.

A mostly gloomy but dry day and humid even though the temperature didn't rise above 18C/64F.

Our weather station showed a high of 92.7F (33.7C) in our main garden :phew: At a guess it was 5C cooler in the permanent shade between the main garden and the veg plot. (The lawn between the conifers, willow and silver birch etc. - for those who know the garden.) We moved tables and chairs to that area for afternoon tea as it was much too hot closer to the house. Although there was no real breeze there's a micro climate effect caused by the differences between the main garden and the veg plot and field that draws air through the shady area :blue thumb:

Today is forecast to be even hotter. :rolleyespink: So no gardening for me apart from moving the sprinkler every two hours. :)

It has just reached 93F and we're melting . Plants are shrivelling and dying and we can't move the sprinkler around enough of the garden to help some of them. :cry3: Even the cyclamen in the shade are starting to shrivel!
