                  The rain had stopped this morning leaving a grey but calm day, 4C/39F.

                  Snow has been on the tops for over a week now and we're promised some tomorrow at ground level.

                    Hope it's not too bad with you Sheal. We've had it wet but no sign of snow and long may it remain so. Dreich (pronounced dreeeectth for those South of the Border) would describe the last 2 days here perfectly:)

                        A gusty, windy night and a gusty, windy day although it hasn't rained. The winds got up to 15mph in gusts but averaged around the 7mph area, while the temperature managed to get to 59f. Right now the temperature is 51f, it's still windy and the pressure is 964hpa.:coffee::snorky:

                          I doubt we'll see any just yet Silu but it's forecast. That could mean anything although I've just checked the temperature and it's down to 1C/34F. We'll see in the morning. :)

                          Yes, we've had dreich weather here so far this week, some sunshine would be good! :SUNsmile:

                          I thought 'Dreich' was of German origin just by the spelling Armandii. Having said that I thought my surname (married name) originated from the Scottish Borders but it's Anglo-Saxon apparently. :doh:

                                I eat my words about the snow! :doh::) We had a sprinkling overnight in the area I live but Inverness itself had three inches. A sunny but cold day, 2C/36F.
