Yeah, think I would have liked that view also.
    Ahhh the Caribbean.

I only remember him in one old war film,.... there they were, bobbing around in the freezing North Atlantic, ship had been torpedoed, they were all shivering in a lifeboat and covered in oil.

He decides to raise everyones spirits.
Come on Chaps, sing up as he leads a chorus of Roll out the Barrel. :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

They dont make em like that anymore.

Cool and cloudy also 13'c/56'f and feeling colder in the wind.
Started to rain at 5pm and lasted till 8ish, that's the first rain for a good few weeks.
Looks like this cool weather with this NW cold airflow is here to stay for another 10 days

No change here, the showers and sunshine mix continue. I've been out and about today and luckily managed to dodge the rain. :) The temperature is going backwards again and as Mowgley says - it's going to be around for a while. 8C/46F today which had dropped to 4C/39F around 7pm.

Apart from a very occasional shower, the land around here near East coast is unseasonably dry with no frosts for many weeks. In fields, there are huge gaping cracks in soil. The soil in many gardens is like concrete and grass is really starting to suffer; a complete opposite to the Spring weather last year.

It was dry like this Early in 2007 and what followed was persistent, torrential rain most days for a couple of months which caused major flooding in local areas and many parts of UK. Hope to God it will rain properly soon (at night time only :snork:)... and NOT turn into a repeat of early Summer last year - or the Summer a decade ago.... but have a gut feeling something nasty is gonna unfold to restore the balance :th scifD36::frown:

2011 spring was very dry around here right up until the end of May, at which point it started raining and I seem to remember getting hardly a dry day for the next three months.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, becareful what you wish for.;):biggrin:

After three consecutive cold, wet springs it's idyllic here this year in comparison. It's still cold at night (3C forecast next week) but the weather's coming from the north, so lots of strong sunshine, not much wind and the first roses and iris are flowering already! I wouldn't be a météo forecaster for any money!

It rained during the night but when I opened the Kitchen door this morning it had stopped. Then at around 10am it started to rain again and didn't stop until mid afternoon. The temperature managed to creep to 56f with a breeze making it seem cooler. In the early evening we had a squall of rain and then it calmed and quietened down. Right now the temperature is 46f with a pressure reading of 1001hpa.:coffee::snorky:

Dry and sunny today despite rain being forecast. A little warmer too but with a northerly on it's way the nights will become chilly again. 10C/50F expecting a drop to 1C/34F overnight.

They forecast much needed rain for us for Sunday afternoon. Did we get it? Not on your Nelly!

Yesterday started off cold (no frost) and there was a coldish wind all day. This was tempered by hot sunshine. So, sitting in the sun with friends was a brow mopping occasion but walking around in the shade needed a jacket. :rolleyespink:

This morning has been a bit peculiar. At 5 a.m. it was 41F but, as the sun rose, the temperature dropped to 39F at 6.05 a.m.

2.5 Deg C in my back garden, no sign of frost but may be different outside the village where my plot is.

Looks like there's going to be another 10 days without rain, ground's getting very dry.
