It was supposed to be dry and sunny today.....well we did see some sun. :doh:Out and about today the wind coming off the North Sea around Lossiemouth had a nasty bite to it. Should have stayed inland! :) 12C/54F

The top temperature today was 55f and it remained dry and with a light breeze. The clouds never ever attempted to clear so the Yellow Orb in the skies never appeared.
Right now the temperature is 46f with a pressure reading of 997hpa. The forecast seems to be one of more dry weather for the coming ten days or so with temperatures creeping and the Jet Stream staying to the South of the UK:yes::snorky:

Yesterday was cold with a bitter wind and today was only a couple of degrees warmer but with sunshine. This made it feel a lot warmer and we were working out there without jackets.

        11.30 p.m. now and 48F

Today we have had some much needed rain, but nowhere near enough, after weeks without any. Hopefully it will rain again over night, as plants will start to suffer soon. Very unusual for Devon to be this dry!

Thursday night's hard frost took its toll on a lot of the new growth on the climbers and on the fig leaves. This afternoon's gales have blown my broad beans over (luckily only one stem broken). They're now supported - better late than never. And now we've got a nice bit of hail just to round everything off. :grimreaper: Good job most things are safely tucked up in the porch, the woodshed and the cold frames.

The gusting winds were the main character of the day, with cloud covered dull skies, but even so the temperature managed, for a brief period, to get to 62f. The winds managed to get to gusts of 15mph during last night and today with an average speed of 7mph, and then about two hours ago we had a brief gentle shower but that has now wandered off.
Right now, the temperature is 55f with a pressure reading of 981hpa.:coffee::snorky:

Hazy sun for most of the day with a bit of a strong southerly breeze, it's actually raining as of now, not heavy, but steady.

Rain until at least midday. Had 40+mm so far since yesterday morning. Much needed, water butts full.
