54F and a steady drizzle all night. Just what the plants ordered. :blue thumb: Water butts are full but we rarely use them. :noidea: They're used for small, individual, watering jobs such as potting up. The main watering has to be done by hose with a few thousand plants under cover and in pots.

It feels chilly here this morning, we have a light drizzle :dbgrtmb: just what the garden needed. Waterbutts filling up nicely:blue thumb:, they were getting really low.

Chilly!!!??? Winters back! Three t-shirts, winter top, two pairs of socks and so on. Oh yeah, it's peeing down too. Had a shower, took the dog out, came home soaked and had a bath to get warm again.

I think last weekend was the wettest we've had this year. :rainy:It rained practically all the time, ranging from heavy stuff to steady drizzle. It's all badly needed but it felt more like autumn with the chilly temperatures. As the week goes on the forecast is for a return to the heat. :boiling:

It is persisting it down here, been doing it since yesterday teatime and the leaves on my birch trees have got a battering and a few of them are now on my lawn so the winds must have been quiet gusty:sad: At least I won't need to worry about watering the garden and allotment for a few days and my water butt should be about full now:biggrin:

Mr Kandys sister was saying to their cousin the other week that we were jammy again by having good weather whilst up in Snowdonia:snorky: They are on holiday a few miles outside Ullapool at the moment and from what we can gather it has been wet and cold:rain::biggrin:

I keep telling them the :hotsun: always shines on the Righteous :snorky:

Diabolical doesn't quite describe what we've got, like most of you lot who by the sounds of things, are getting too. We haven't got the wind YET but meant to have 40 mph + tonight, bye bye Lupins.,Poppies, Meconopsis, etc etc etc! Non stop rain since about 7pm last night and hurtling down atm. Having a mini digger delivered this PM, you couldn't make it up. We have been desperate for rain for weeks and now have about 4 months worth in hours. There is no way we will be able to use the digger anywhere near where we intended to. Much much swearing:wallbanging:.
