WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE - 2017

The temperature never got up above 55f and the skies were completely cloud covered and so far we've had 12mm of rain. I've actually glad we had the rain as the prolonged recent and cloudy weather doesn't go down well on my sandy soil although 30 years of continually improving it has helped. Right now the temperature is 61f, the pressure reading is 981hpa.........and it's still raining

 

56F at 6 a.m. but very overcast. Not forecast to rise past 64F today but getting warmer at the weekend - which is good as we have over twenty people coming and I intend serving Sunday lunch outdoors.

A cousin has come over from the U.S. on a visit and he's 95 (I think). So I've invited all our generation of cousins (that are still around) for a get together. He usually comes over for a symposium at Cambridge University and until a few years ago used to give some sort of lecture there (he's still on the faculty at his university in the U.S. - science/research).

We have a lot of cousins . Some live overseas so aren't coming although one was over from Oz when we opened our garden last month.

We're doing lunch, tea and supper for them so need good weather so we can eat in the garden. It would be a bit cramped indoors.

We're quite a close family and tend to see each other fairly frequently but some more than others. Everyone tends to make the effort to come to family gatherings no matter how far they are.

Unfortunately we're now of an age where too many of them are funerals Only one is still under 70 - just.

 

@Logan It's not too bad. Most of us are managing not to fall off the top and we're having great fun trying to keep well balanced . Although most people would say I'm not well balanced (thought I would say it before some of my 'friends' on here said it )
